Saida Nor
FREELANCE JOURNALIST
about me
Hello!
My name is Saida Nor and I'm a freelance journalist here in the Seattle area. From breaking news to in-depth arts and culture pieces, I'm passionate about capturing the stories that matter. My experience started at the University of Washington, where I honed my skills as a staff writer and columnist for the student newspaper. But the learning didn't stop there – I've also gained valuable freelance journalism and social media expertise working as a social media manager for a decor and designs company and selling various independent stories to local papers. Being immersed in social media as a content creator keeps me at the forefront of how news is often consumed and widespread today which only further aids in my clips.
I am fluent in both English and Somali and have an immense passion for traveling and storytelling in all its avenues.
